Retired Members

Life does not stop once you stop working – nor does your role in the union

Many members may not be aware that upon retirement they can, if they wish, become a UNISON retired member.

Retired members can enjoy all the benefits of UNISON membership including legal advice, welfare support, special discounts and offers on a wide range of financial and other services.

All it costs, to become a retired member, is a one-off payment of £15

The East Riding Branch has a very active retired members section with nearly 1,000 members and has a well established and efficient social activities side with day trips and talks being organised. Together with a group who regularly meet at Bridlington Town Hall on the first Tuesday of the month to listen to a speaker. This lively and enthusiastic group also meet for a pub lunch on the third Tuesday in the winter and combine it with an outing in the local area during the summer.

If any UNISON member wishes to continue their membership and would like further details of the Beverley and Bridlington groups please contact the branch on 01482 391091.
